A8 W12 and now Audi has released specifications and details of the all-new 2011 Audi A8 L W12 quattro. The long wheelbase variant of the 2011 Audi A8. As you can expect the main differences from the ordinary A8 is the extended wheelbase and the all new W12 engine.

Based on the previous 6.0-liter engine found in the previous generation A8, the all new W12 for model year 2011 has been fully re worked with increased displacement from 6.0liters to 6.3 and added petrol direct injection for better fuel consumption. It weighs just 247 kilograms (545 lbs) and has a power output of 368 kW (493 bhp / 500 PS) and a torque of 625 Nm (460.98 lb-ft) at 3,250rpm. As you can expect the 2011 Audi A8 W12 is equipped with quattro four wheel drive system. For the first time Audi will put a 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox in one of their models. Keep in mind that the A8 W12 weight less that the previous generation A8 and the 0-62mph(0-100km/h) will be time less than 5seconds(4.9s). That is a remarkable achievement considering the enormous size of the A8. The top speed is limited to 155mph(250km/h) r Average fuel consumption is said to be a low 12.0 litres per 100 kilometres (19.6 US mpg).

A8 W12 Details. For the 2011 A8 W12, Audi upgraded the standard MMI control system with more advanced one. For the first time in the A8 range, customers will have the pleasure to view 3D satellite navigation with Google Earth. If you like high quality music, the A8 will be also the right choice for you. A8 customers can order a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System. A panoramic sunroof can be also ordered and a specal tanned Valonea leather.

Audi changed the exterior design as well for the A8 W12. The new single-frame radiator grille with chromed horizontal bars is really cool. They are numerous W12 badges and of course the classic two trapezoidal tailpipes. As standard the Audi A8 W12 is equipped with a 15-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels with 255/45 tyres are fitted, but customers can also order optional 20-inch or even 21-inch rims.

Well those photos are far from being official of the real 2012 Audi Q6, but are good enough to be discussed. Some drawings that are showing what might the future 2012 Audi Q6 look like.

With no surprise, with the success of BMW X6, Audi is now are going to develop a rival for the BMW X6. Yes, something beautiful and a bit more un-practical compared to the Q7.

There are not many details, but Audi CEO Rupert Stadler said the on German press “We can imagine a model between the Q5 and the Q7 . . . a coupe-like, four-wheel-driven model.” If approved, the crossover would feature sporty styling and ride on the same platform that underpins the Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne.

Now words about the engines, but we can expect the ordinary 2.0TDI-e to be in the lineup for ruse, also the bulletproof 2.0TFSI. A sportier version with 4.0TFSI V8 from the future S6 could also be fitted in the Q6 and off course the mighty 3.0TDI.

Nothing for the launch date of the Q6, but don’t expect to see one of those in front of your house earlier than summer 2012 or even 2013.

Audi’s stylish A5 range is in store for a very mild facelift, with the first prototypes for the new S5 variant spotted today running laps at the famous Nurburgring circuit in Germany. Looking at the shots, one would easily think this is just a regular S5 but look more closely and several new subtle details are revealed.

We can clearly see a new set of tail lights with LED detailing similar to the units fitted to the more upscale A7 Sportback. The detailing especially becomes apparent in the image where the car’s brakes are applied. The front of the car also has some minor styling changes, noticeable in the indicator elements installed in the head lights.

What’s unclear is whether or not Audi is planning to keep its grunty 4.2-liter V-8 in the latest S5 or switch to a ‘downsized’ supercharged 3.0-liter V6 like it did with the S4. A six-speed manual should remain the standard option, though an eight-speed automatic may be offered alongside the trick dual clutch transmission on this 2012 model.

The facelifted 2012 Audi A5 range is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year, following a world debut most likely at September’s 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The changes will eventually make their way across the rest of the A5 range, including the S5 seen here, A5 Convertible and A5 Sportback.
